Associate Prof. Jing Dai of the University of Nottingham Ningbo, Gives Report

On February 28, 2019, the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology invited Associate Professor Jing Dai of the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China to present an academic report entitled Green Supply Chain Management: Competition, Collaboration & Coopetition in Room 418 of the main building.

Dr. Jing Dai is an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director at the University of Nottingham Business School in Ningbo, and a recipient of the Iowa State University Excellence in Research Award. She was an assistant professor at Western Connecticut State University and a researcher at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Her research interests are green supply chain management and sustainable innovation.

Dr. Jing Dai's report began with the background of globalization and e-commerce development, and proposes that supply chain management (SCM) has become an important means for enterprises to compete in the world. At the same time, it was pointed out that due to pressure from the government, the public and non-governmental organizations, companies have to pay enough attention to environmental issues. Therefore, green supply chain management (green SCM) is necessary for companies to balance economic, environmental and social needs. Dr. Jing Dai introduced three researches on green supply chain management, providing theoretical and management understanding for teachers and classmates participating in the report from the perspective of competition, cooperation and cooperative competition. Finally, Dr. Jing Dai answered questions from classmates and teachers. After the report, Dr. Jing Dai took a group photo with the teachers and students of our school.
