Recently, Beijing Institute of Technology Energy and Environmental Policy Research Center, professor Wei Yiming team put forward the national "chess" taking account of regional inequality, overall and local economic development and national "double carbon" target province reduction strategy. The relevant research results "Approaching national climate targets in China considering the challenge of regional inequality" was published as research article in Nature Communications. This is the eighth article published by Professor Wei's team in the Nature journals since 2017.

Professor Yu Biying and Professor Wei Yiming from Beijing Institute of Technology, and Professor Liu Lancui from Beijing Normal University are the corresponding authors of the paper.
