Recently, the 2022 National Entrepreneurs Day and China Entrepreneurs Annual Conference was held in Baotou. With the theme of "carrying forward the entrepreneurial spirit to forge ahead new journey", the conference aims to further carry forward and stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit, and build entrepreneurship friendly market environment and social atmosphere. Xu Liuping, a 1997 alumnus of the School of Management and Economics, was elected as the "National Outstanding Entrepreneur".

Xu Liuping, an alumnus of grade 1997 of the School of Management and Economics, is currently the Party Secretary and chairman of China First Automobile Group, member of the 12th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. He has won the "National May Day Labor Medal", "National Model Worker", "2018-2019 China Automobile Person of the Year Award", and was awarded the "70 People of the 70th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China" commemorative medal and other honors.
