On November 20,2023, the annual progress exchange meeting of the major project "Modeling and Application Research of Climate Economy" was held in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. The meeting was ponsored by the Management Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and undertaken by Guangdong Ocean University.
Professor Wu Gang, director of the Third Division of the Management Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, presided over the opening ceremony and introduced the management measures of major projects. Professor Tan Beiping, vice president of Guangdong Ocean University, addressed the meeting. More than 110 people including expert members of the academic steering panel from Tsinghua university, Beijing university of aeronautics and astronautics, Harbin industrial university, The Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, project directors and researchers attended the meeting. Professor Yang Zhou, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong Ocean University, met with the participants before the meeting, accompanied by Professor Tan Beiping and Professor Ning Ling.
Project leader, Professor Wei Yiming of Beijing Institute of Technology; Subject 1: "The Impact Mechanism of Economic System on Carbon Emission and Dynamic Regulation", Professor Liao Hua of Beijing Institute of Technology; Subject 2: "Climate Model Research suitable for Comprehensive Assessment of Climate Change", Professor Xu Jianjun of Guangdong Ocean University; Subject 3: "Impact Mechanism and Risk Assessment of Climate Change on Social and Economic System", Professor Liang Sai of Guangdong University of Technology; Subject 4: "Internal modeling Method and Technology System Optimization of Carbon emission Reduction Technology", Professor Chen Xinyu of Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Subject 5:"Coupling modeling and Application of Climate System and Economic and Technical System", Professor Wei Yiming, reported respectively the main progress and discovery, research results, problems and difficulties encountered, the use of project funds and the research plan of the next stage.
