Recently, the 27th Annual meeting of the Chinese Society of Technology and Economics and the 2020 meeting of the Institute of Management Science and Engineering and the 18th China Forum on Management Science and Engineering were held in Chengdu and Taiyuan respectively. During the two meetings, the results of "2020 Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award of China Society of Technology and Economics "and "2020 Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award of Management Science and Engineering Society" were announced respectively. He Weijun and Wang Chen, Ph. D. graduates under the guidance of Professor Wang Zhaohua, respectively won the excellent doctoral thesis awards of two national first-level societies.

The "Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award of the China Society of Technology and Economics" aims to award doctoral dissertations that have made significant contributions to the development of technical and economic disciplines with important innovations in theory or solving major practical problems. He Weijun received his doctorate in management from Beijing Institute of Technology in March 2019. He Weijun's Ph.D. thesis "Research on the Mechanism and Management Strategy of Interregional Carbon Emission Reduction from the Perspective of Cost Analysis" systematically discusses the problem of carbon emission reduction at the regional level in China from the perspective of economic cost. He published a number of academic papers in Energy Economics, Energy, and other well-known international journals and won excellent doctoral thesis of Beijing Institute of Technology.

He Weijun won the 2020 Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award of the China Society of Technology and Economics.

The "Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award of the Society of Management Science and Engineering" is intended to reward the authors of doctoral dissertations that have achieved important results in basic or applied basic research in the field of management science and engineering. A total of 10 excellent doctoral thesis were selected nationwide. Wang Chen received a doctorate in management from Beijing Institute of Technology in January 2017. Dr. Wang Chen's doctoral thesis ," Research on the production and operation strategy of manufacturing enterprises under carbon quota constraints ", studied the optimization strategy of enterprise operation under the background of carbon constraints. He published a number of papers in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews and other journals, and won the excellent doctoral thesis of Beijing Institute of Technology. Dr. Wang Chen is now working in the School of Economics and Management, Beijing University of Science and Technology.
