From October 23 to 29,2023, the 13th Beijing University Young Teachers Teaching Basic Skills Competition (liberal arts category) was successfully held in Beijing. After the selection of various universities and departments in Beijing, 145 teachers from 67 schools were finally promoted to the municipal competition. After fierce competition, Gao Ang of our school won the first prize of liberal arts category A group, the best display award and the most popular among students award. Professor Zhao Yutao, professor Zhao Erdong won the excellent instructor award.

The School of Management and Economics has always attached great importance to the improvement of teaching quality and the growth of young teachers. The school took the opportunity of the teaching competition, and organized a series of teaching seminars in the past year.

The Beijing University Teaching Basic Skills Competition for Young Teachers is held every two years. This competition is hosted by the Beijing Municipal Education Working Committee, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Beijing Education Union and the National College Teachers Network Training Center of the Ministry of Education. With the theme of "giving a good lecture", there are four categories of science, engineering, medical and liberal arts. The liberal arts competition was the most competitive and lasted the longest time in the history of this "Teachig Competition".
