On December 27,2023, the 5th Staff Congress and the 7th Trade Union Congress of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology was held in the 240 Financial Laboratory of the main building. Sun Fei, vice chairman of the labor union of the university, and Ji Xinhua, retired teacher representative of the former vice president of the labor union of the school attended the conference. All the leaders of the school and 47 representatives of the "double congress" attended the conference. The meeting was presided over by Guan Hong, vice president of the school and chairman of the trade union.
The election was presided over by the chief supervisor Peng Mingxue. This congress democratically elected 9 members of the executive committee of the 5th Staff Congress.
After the meeting, the executive committee of the Fifth Congress held the first plenary meeting at 345 of the main building, and elected the chairman, vice chairman and secretary general of the executive committee of the congress.
