On October 12,2021, the State Textbook Committee announced the decision on the award of the first National Textbook Construction Award."Energy Economics (third edition)" edited by Professor Wei Yiming and Professor Liao Hua, and "Management and Operations Research (fifth edition)" edited by Professor Han Botang are among the award-winning national excellent textbooks (higher education).

The National Textbook Construction Award is the highest award in the field of teaching materials. It is a major system to review and display the achievements of the construction of teaching materials to serve the talent training of the Party and the state, enhance the sense of honor and responsibility of textbook workers, and promote the construction of a teaching material system with Chinese characteristics and the world level.The National Textbook Construction Award is selected every four years, and is sponsored by the State Textbook Committee and organized by the Ministry of Education.In total, 399 outstanding higher education textbooks were selected for the national teaching material construction award, including 4 grand prizes, 80 first prizes and 315 second prizes.The winning textbooks cover all disciplines of higher education and 76 undergraduate majors.After the successful completion of the first National Textbook Construction Award selection work, the Ministry of Education will further strengthen the publicity and guidance, innovate the construction mechanism, optimize the selection methods, and promote the development of national excellent teaching materials.

Under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and the University our school has always attached great importance to the construction of teaching materials. In addition to the above award-winning teaching materials, we were also approved for the "14th Five-Year Plan" textbook construction projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology this year.Textbook construction is an important support of talent training and discipline construction.To build first-class majors and disciplines, we must build a matching first-class teaching material system.Our school will continue to combine the double first-class construction of the school with the construction of national first-class undergraduate majors, and further promote the integration construction of disciplines, majors, curriculum and textbooks, so as to provide strong support for better cultivating people by virtue.
