On the morning of December 10,2019, the School of Management and Economics held a general staff meeting, and Li Dehuang, executive vice-minister of the Party Committee's Organization Department, announced the appointment decision of the Communist Party Committee of Beijing Institute of Technology: Comrade Yan Zhijun is appointed as Party Secretary of the School of Management and Economics and Comrade Wang Zhaohua no longer serves Party Secretary of the School of Management and Economics. Yang Zhihong, deputy secretary of Beijing Institute of Technology party committee and secretary of the discipline Inspection Commission, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wang Zhaohua, Dean of the School of Management and Economics.

　　Comrade Yan Zhijun

　　Yan Zhijun, male, Han nationality, born in Chenzhou, Hunan, on October 1974. Started work in March 2001, joined the Chinese Communist Party in December 1995, Doctor of Management, Professor.

　　Comrade Yan Zhijun received his bachelor's and doctor's degrees from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1996 and 2001 respectively. From August 2013 to June 2016, he was Vice Director of the Institute of Integration and Development of Beijing Institute of Technology and Associate Dean of the School of Management and Economics. In June 2016, he served as Vice Dean of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology.

　　Comrade Yan Zhijun has been engaged for long time in research on management science and engineering. The research direction mainly includes Internet health care, health big data analysis, e-commerce and so on. He has presided over more than 20 major scientific research projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Key Research and Development sub projects. He has published more than 100 papers in renowned journals and conferences home and abroad including Journal of Management Information System, Information & Management, Management Science Journal, System Engineering Theory and Practice. He has won two provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress or philosophy and social science awards, selected for the Ministry of Education New Century Outstanding Talent. He also holds academic positions such as Associate Editor of the SSCI Journal Internet Research and Director of the China Society of Information Economics.
