On the afternoon of June 18, Academician He Chang-chui, Executive Director of the Digital China Research Institute (Fujian), was invited to visit the School of Management and Economics.  Academician Zhang Jun, President, Prof. Ran Lun, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Wang Zhaohua, Dean of the School of Management and Economics, Prof. Yan Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee, Prof. Liu Hao, Executive Director of the Global Aviation Development Research Center, and some school leaders participated in the discussion. The symposium was hosted by Professor Wang Zhaohua.

　　Academician He Chang-chui first thanked the President Zhang Jun of Beijing Institute of Technology for his invitation. He introduced the responsibilities and mission of the Digital China Research Institute (Fujian) from four aspects: first, to carry out research on the strategy of digital China's construction and development; second, to organize and carry out standard and standard research on digital China's construction and carry out related scientific and technological research and development to provide technical support for the construction of digital Fujian; third, to promote the popularization, application and industrial development of digital China's construction achievements; and fourth, to promote the integration of production, education and research, and to carry out education, training and capacity-building services for high-end management and technical professionals in the relevant fields of digital China. He expects the Digital China Research Institute (Fujian) and Beijing Institute of Technology to complement each other and cooperate in depth.

　　Academician Zhang Jun welcomed and thanked Academician He Chang-chui for his arrival. He pointed out that under the background of the vigorous development of big data and artificial intelligence technology, the digital economy has become an important productive factor in social development. Beijing Institute of Technology, led by the national strategic needs, has several national platforms, laboratories in information science and technology, computer science and technology, and big data, and has also set up an e-government research institute. As it builds to a world-class university, it insists on interdisciplinary integration and innovation of its research results, thus cultivating a group of interdisciplinary, cross-professional and cross-disciplinary talents.

　　At the symposium, the participants had in-depth exchanges and discussions with Academician He Chang-chi on cooperation intention and talent training of international organizations.
