On July 1, the opening ceremony of the second summer school of the School of Management and Economics in 2020 was held simultaneously on the main building 133 and the Tencent online conference.  Dean Professor Wang Zhaohua, Professor Yan Zhijun, Party Secretary, Professor Zhang Xiang, Vice Dean, Professor Zhao Xian, Vice Dean, Guan Hong, Peng Mingxue, and Associate Professor Lu Xin attended the opening ceremony. The online opening ceremony was attended by seven summer school guests and more than 170 teachers and students, including associate professor Cao Jiguo of Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada, Professor Hu Ming of the University of Toronto, Professor Yang Liyan, Professor Song Zheng of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Professor Feng Qi of Purdue University. The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Zhao Xian.

　　Dean Wang Zhaohua, on behalf of the School, expressed warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the experts, teachers and students. He said the summer school invited a total of 11 well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad to bring us online reports, covering statistics and data analysis, operations management, supply chain management, strategic management, e-commerce, economic and financial, energy and climate modeling, organizational behavior management, accounting and other directions.

　　Subsequently, online, 7 experts introduced their respective research areas and sent a message to the summer school. Experts said that: the developed network broke the constraints of time and space, let everyone come together to share academic achievements, exchange scientific research experience. Thank you for the organization and planning, and look forward to better exchange and study with teachers and students.

　　Finally, with the active participation of more than 180 experts, teachers and students, the summer school officially opened.
