SME Celebrates the 40th Anniversary

  In September, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Beijing Institute of Technology, the School of Management and Economics ushered in the 40th anniversary. The 40 years of development and construction of the School can not be separated from the care and support of leaders at all levels, all walks of life and alumni, and the diligence and dedication of teachers and students. On the eve of the celebration, many units concerned, brother colleges, alumni and people from all walks of life sent congratulatory messages. The celebration was carried out simultaneously through the combination of offline activities and online live broadcast in Zhongguancun Campus, and broadcast through 24 professional media.

  

  On the afternoon of September 19,2020, the celebration commemorative meeting began with the solemn national anthem. Professor Yan Zhijun, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management and Economics, presided over the meeting.

  Yang Zhihong, deputy secretary of the Beijing Institute of Technology Party Committee and secretary of the discipline Inspection Commission, attended the 40th anniversary commemorative meeting and delivered a speech.

  Wang Zhaohua, Dean of the School of Management and Economics, thanked all walks of life who had cared and supported the development and construction of the School for many years.

  Professor Mao Jiye, Dean of Business School of Renmin University of China, Hou Tao, President of Beijing Oriental University of Beijing Oriental Group, Hua Xiaoming, President of the second Middle School of Linchuan, Jiangxi Province, alumni representative Chen Dongniu, and Professor Han Botang, a national teacher of excellence, delivered their best wishes for the 40th anniversary of the School, highly affirmed the School in the economics & management talent training, in the development of characteristic disciplines, and in the construction of high-quality teachers.
