On September 4th, Academician Zhang Jun, secretary of the Party Committee of the university, and Academician Longteng, president of the university, had a cordial exchange with the freshmen of the global governance talent class at the orientation site of Liangxiang Campus.

In 2022, the first Global Governance Talent Class recruited 25 liberal arts and science students, of which 10 passed the unified college entrance examination, and 15 were selected from JinGong College, Ruixin College, Mingde College and college of Economics and Management.

Global Governance Talent Class is the first pilot training of top innovative talents on the basis of humanities and Social sciences. Xu Teli Institute, Innovation Institute of International Organizations and School of Management and Economics are jointly responsible for collaborative education. This class is set up to implement the general secretary Xi Jinping series of important speech and instructions on international organizations and global governance talent training, and one of the important measures to serve the national strategy, to cultivate global governance talents with a global vision, familiar with national conditions, proficient in negotiations, business skills, and languages.
