In late November 2023, the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) conducted an on-site inspection of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology. The panel, chaired by Professor Andrea Sianesi, chairman of the board of directors of the Polytechnic University of Milano, Italy, includes Professor Metka Tekavcic, Dean of the School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Mr.Matt Bolger, Vice President of the University of Waikato, New Zealand, and Mr.Anton van Rossum, former executive of McKinsey and Credit Suisse.

Li Zhenjian, vice president of Beijing Institute of Technology, met with the expert group and expressed his warm welcome and sincere thanks to the expert group for their coming to the on-site evaluation. The certification expert group listened to the introduction of Dean Wang Zhaohua on the overall situation and the latest progress of the School, and had an in-depth discussion with the leadership on the School's strategic planning, governance, scientific research, teaching team construction, talent training and other aspects.

After careful discussion, the expert group formed a preliminary recertification and evaluation opinions, and gave feedback to the school leaders, the functional departments of the school, and the relevant teachers. The expert group highly evaluated the achievements of the School in the past three years, highly affirmed the organization work of on-site certification, and put forward specific suggestions for the further development of the School.
