BIT School of Management Conducts Expanded Study Session for Party Committee Theoretical Study Group

On March 20, the School of Management's Party Committee Theoretical Study Group conducted an expanded study session. The session focused on studying the important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping during the National People's Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and the spirit of the NPC and CPPCC. The group delved into Xi Jinping's important discussions on developing new productive forces and promoting high-quality development. The session included an explanation and interpretation of Secretary Zhang Jun's speech to the Party Committee Study Group, focusing on topics such as enhancing historical initiative and strategic thinking, facilitating a virtuous cycle of education, technology, and talent, promoting the high-quality construction of "Double First-Class" universities, and discussing "What can BIT do to support the development of new productive forces?" These discussions were linked to the actual development of the school. Members of the school's Party Committee Theoretical Study Group, department heads, and representatives of faculty Party branch secretaries participated in the session, which was presided over by School Party Secretary Yan Zhijun.

Participants, in conjunction with their respective responsibilities, discussed further strengthening theoretical knowledge. They engaged in systematic and in-depth study of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discussions and major deployments on developing new productive forces, as well as the various work deployments and requirements of the university's Party Committee. They focused on the new tasks and requirements that the development of new productive forces imposes on higher education. Combining these with the actual development of the school's talent cultivation, scientific research, discipline construction, and social services, they exchanged ideas and measures on promoting the high-quality construction of the school's "Double First-Class" initiative.
